Fun at the Playground

Our new home is in a really great development and comes complete with walking trails and a playground .  It was FINALLY (semi) warm out yesterday so we ventured out to play.  It was Sydney's first time in a swing, and she squealed with delight the whole time.  She also had fun going down the slide - I think we have a future adrenaline junkie on our hands :).

Easter

Sydney had a fun first Easter in her new home!!  The Easter bunny brought her some new bath toys to play with in her jaccuzzi tub, a giggling duck stuffed animal - which she LOVES, and a puppet book to read!!

 

NCAA Champions!

This past weekend the Men's Michigan Swim Team won the NCAA championsip for the first time since 1995.  It was a HUGE acomplishment and I am SOOO proud of Mark for being a part of such a great victory!  Mark brought the trophy home for the afternoon and we got a snap some great shots of it with Sydney..

The Big Move!

It has been a busy couple of weeks for the Hill Household.  I was busy moving us to our new home while Mark was off winning the NCAA's with the Michigan Men's Swim/Dive Team!!  It is EXHAUSTING moving by yourself with an almost 9 month old and three dogs.  I am so grateful to our friends who were able to come over and help out with everything.   A huge thanks to the following people..

Heather - thanks for all of your help on moving day, I would not have been able to do it with out you!!!!
James - thanks for helping on Saturday with the washer/dryer, the ceiling fan in the living room, and mounting the TV above the fireplace!!
Kaila - thanks for all of your help with Sydney and the dogs!  It made my life a lot easier the days you were there because I knew I could focus on getting unpacked while you took care of Syd the kid!!
Linnea - You are an amazing drawer and bookshelf builder and I really appreciate all of your help!!
Olivia - Thanks for running errands and helping me get marks office pieced together before he got home!
Michelle and Tony - Thanks for coming over to play with Sydney and for the most yummy treats in the whole world!!!

I have lots of Sydney updates coming soon (just as soon as I can find my computer and upload her latest photos from my camera!), and pictures of the new house coming soon too!!

My Little Picasso!

I just love Sydney's daycare - Annie's Children's Center, and I think they do such a great job with Sydney.  The staff is very attentive and caring and they spend a lot of time helping Sydney build skills like walking, drinking out of sippy cup, and eating finger foods Also, they have no problem with the babies getting down and dirty to explore their creativity.  Multiple times a week they do art with the babies, and send it home for the parent to "ooohh" and "aaaahhhh" over. Sometimes the staff use the babies feet and hands to create adorable pieces of art, and sometimes they let the babies go to town and finger paint.  I can't give enough praise to Annie's, and I would recommend them to any of my friends!!

Once we are in the new house (late next week - YEY!!!), Sydney will have her very own playroom - which I have big plans for.  There is going to be an area where I can do artwork and sensory crafts with her, and I am so excited for this.  Additionally I plan on having a special wall to display all of her wonderful artwork.  I am going to get a wall decal that says "Sydney's Masterpieces" and below that hang a bunch of frames with the glass covered in fun fabric, and a clip attached so that I can easily interchange artwork as she does more and more. I am so excited for this project and will definitely be posting pictures once it is complete!!
